The two-year and eight-month old Ali is no longer the one who is simply making noises around the house or answering questions, she is now taking the active role of speaking.

Ali loves to watch me making her breakfasts and offer her generous help from time to time. I used a butterfly mold to cut the toast and bus it to the oven to have it lightly toasted. Before I left for other morning routines, she stopped me and said “You forgot to turn the oven on!”

A strategy to teach kids to speak is to take on their roles as if we are speaking from their position by using the same address. To have Ali to say goodnight to her daddy, I said to Cliff “Good night, Dadda!” expecting that Ali might follow suit. Ali said abruptly, “He is your husband, not your Dadda!”

Dadda, I love you!
"Dadda, I love you!" Ali shouts to her Daddy every night before going to sleep.
And Daddy groans and says "alright, alright" back to Ali every night.
Ali shouted again this morning only to find no reply.
I explained that Daddy went to Singapore early in the morning.
It took a while for Ali to digest, and then she said,

陪她爸出差，所以生日是在台南過的
在生日前喜歡利落的阿媽帶Ali去剪了個新髮型，所以從台南回來後被迫改走諧星路線
會唱的歌變多了，但Ali不但唱歌會改歌詞，還會自編曲目
如兩只老虎，突然就變成了兩只媽媽

音韻覺識方面：
以前
在聲母上，j發不好會類似z, 但z也發不好會影響到韻母，嘴嘴zuizui2變成zeizei2
在聲母上，是shi4有時發成素su4，可見卷舌音有難度

B-Bear and Ali @2+2
There is this B-Bear that Ali started to carry around since she was 2.
B-Bear sleeps with Ali at night, and later a D-Deer joins their threesome every night.
B-Bear even followed Ali to the northern seashore in Taiwan.
Ali wipes B-Bear’s bottom and tries diapers on B-Bear.
When Ali had a running nose, B-Bear’s nose got wiped too.

2嵗1個月大的Ali會對自己精神喊話。
在車上拿著還不能吃的早餐麵包，Ali 會一直說 “不能開、不能開…”
結果手會不自覺地將袋子打開，然後又對自己說 “不能吃、不能吃…”

可以看得出來Ali把草莓和冰淇淋都着了粉紅色
吃早飯的時候
土司烤好了，Ali 說 “草莓果醬！”，於是媽媽將果醬從冰箱拿出塗在土司上
塗滿果醬了，Ali 說 “關關！” ，於是媽媽將土司對折好放在盤子裏給Ali

Potty Training
8月11號，快要一嵗十一個月大的Ali第一次在小便桶裏 pee pee 成功！
興奮得捨不得倒掉pee pee，興奮得想拍照留念...
但還是用力地給Ali鼓勵，然後用文字記下就好了
幾個月前就買了BabyBjorn 的小便盆，先讓她熟悉，沒事坐在上面玩玩。
坐起來真的很穩，清洗方便，顔色也很好看。

一嵗十個月的Ali從美國回來後多了很多形容詞
對吃的東西總是不忘來點評一下：
在美國吃的東西好像都不太合她的胃口，尤其是那常見的青花菜
吃到媽媽煮的久違的青花菜，Ali說“好吃！”
吃到爸爸煮的蝦，Ali說“好硬！”

Usually Ali and I nap together on the weekends.
She says, "Air condition!" then I turn the ac on.
She says, "Glasses!" then I take off my glasses and hand it to her to put it on the night stand.
She lies herself on one pillow while patting the other one, and says, "Lie down!" then I rest myself on the designated pillow.
After nap, she picks up the glasses and says, "Glasses!" then I put my glasses on while getting off bed.
